Other information

This course provides an overview of spacecraft design and engineering, including the choice and development of materials used for spacecraft and satellite construction, power sources and the means of manoeuvring. The threat to both instruments and humans inside such spacecraft, as well as the methods for mitigating these inherent risks, will be presented. The course will then address the parameters needed for habitable structures in space and on the Moon (and Mars), including a discussion of the architecture that addresses the in-situ supply of oxygen, water and food.
